Binghamton’s men’s lacrosse (4-5) is back on the road Saturday at 7:30 p.m. to take on NJIT (0-8). The Bearcats are looking to stay undefeated in America East play after big wins over Albany and UMBC which has netted them their best conference start since 2017.
Junior Quinn O’Hara has recently brought a spark to the Bearcat offense, tallying six points in his last three games. He had a three-goal and one-assist performance against UMBC in his last time out.
Kevin Winkoff has been steady for BU all season. He was recently named to the Tewaaraton Watch List, an award given to the top male and female college lacrosse player. The senior has scored in every single game and ranks second in the America East in goals per game (2.56), goals (23), and is tied for first in points per game (4.00).
The Bearcats have leaned on the strong defensive play of seniors Max Verch and Drew Furlong. Both players are tied for sixth in the conference in caused turnovers per game (1.22).
Gage Adams is leading the offense with eight goals and seven assists, totaling 15 points on the season.
NJIT is battle-tested having faced three ranked opponents (No.19 Delaware, No.15 Lehigh and No.14 Army).
Billy Kroeger leads the team as their faceoff specialist with a .602 faceoff percentage.
Lynch Rabby is ninth in the America East with 1.13 caused turnovers per game.
